Nice bright intro. I've always enjoyed that method of harmonizing. It lends so much more sunshine and bouyancy to the piece than plunkin' down your triads all at once.
You were right about the pitches, they are a little high, which leaves this mix feeling a little thin (some lower tones would fix that in a snap, but seeing as you mention it in your description, I can see you that you already realize that ). The interplay between that clarinet (?) synth and the arpeggiatin' harp gets much better from 2:17 on.
Nice conclusion, too; those are always tough. It's got a great attitude about it, one of humour and general good cheer. You familiar with F J Haydn? I get the same general vibe from your pieces that I get from his symphonies
